Passenger to Teheran, 1926.

Draft, holograph, corrected, of manuscript based on travel from London to Tehran during the first months of 1926, dated "Long Barn, 16th Aug. 1926," and published in late 1926 by Hogarth Press. Sackville-West made the trip to visit her husband Harold Nicolson, stationed in Tehran as Counsellor of the British legation, and her manuscript provides reflections on travelling, letter writing, and the people, cultural practices, and landscapes of the Middle East, including Egypt, Iraq, and Iran.
